CAVE9 NEEDS HELP We were recently audited by the state of alabama. We function as a non-profit and have been granted 501c-3 status by the U.S. government. However, due to different laws in alabama, some of what we have done over the past three years is taxable. A mistake on our part for not knowing that state and federal had different definitions and laws. So now we are $6,200 in debt. We need to pay this as soon as possible. We hate to ask, but if you have a few extra dollars maybe you could donate. CAVE9 is completely volunteer run. We aren’t a big club. We aren’t rich. We are just a room, a PA and a bunch of people that love music and the independent music scene. BOOKING INFO: Send us an email. We will try to help you or your band out. We are not jerks. You will find that out if you play here. BUT, if you dont get a reply to your email, please take that as a respectful NO. We are volunteer run, which means we all have full time jobs or school in addition to cave9. We get anywhere between 10-60 emails a day. It is very hard to keep up. We know how hard it is to book shows or tours for your band. We have all dealt with that from both ends. PLEASE PLEASE don't think that we are just being rude or are jerks because we cant answer your email. We do not book shows over the phone. If you call for a show we will ask you to please send an email. If you dont get a reply to your email do not call. As stated above, PLEASE TAKE THAT AS A RESPECTFUL NO. That doesnt mean that your band can never play at cave9. It just means that we either cant help on that particular date or something of that manner. again, do not call us for shows! but dont give up on emailing either. thanks.
